ECOM Consulting Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Software Engineer with a Master degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or any related field, with two years of experience in software development or suitable qualifications. Experience must include Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs, microservices, Oracle (PL/SQL) or MySQL, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka or another enterprise messaging platform, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Duties: Ability to analyze complex functional and nonfunctional requirements and translate them into system requirements, technical specifications and scalable software designs. Design, develop, code, test, debug, deploy and support distributed Web applications, Web services, cloud applications and n-tier systems. Develop enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs and microservices. Design database objects, queries, stored procedures and data-access components using Oracle (PL/SQL) and MySQL. Develop event-driven integrations using Kafka or other enterprise messaging platforms. Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Automate application builds, testing and deployments using CI/CD pipelines. Develop and deploy solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP. Apply secure coding, performance tuning, logging, monitoring, automated testing and source-control practices. Review code, troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, prepare technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC using Agile methodologies.
